Illinois logo and wordmark guide
The Illinois logo and wordmark standards will be released as a guide here on brand.illinois.edu. It will include instructions needed to help you begin using these marks. Downloads for all version of the mark are also available and will require university access to download through Box hosting. Instructions for downloading materials will be included with the release materials.
Feedback surveys to CCOs
A unit wordmark feedback request will be sent to all CCOs. This serves as an important checks-and-balances step to ensure decisions made in the standard address all of the concerns and issues surrounding adoption. Additionally, understanding how the unit wordmark system is being received by our campus marketers helps us understand not only how to adapt the system for maximum success, but also how to craft resources and help content around the specific issues you will encounter.

Deadline: Block I replacement (digital and new materials)
The deadline for replacing the column I with the block I marks an interim stage in the identity update. In alignment with the efforts of our capital campaign, this adoption step ensures we mark the launch in solidarity across the university. We have worked to make this step as easy as possible to meet. Be sure to check out the post that covers block I replacement requirements for more information.

Wordmarks provided to all major units
Public Affairs will produce your unit wordmarks. These will be provided to all major units based on strategic priority, beginning with the units represented by the CCO leader. Although December 1st marks the completion of the unit wordmarks, they will be released as completed. Once you receive your wordmarks, you are expected to immediately begin using them for all new materials printed. In an effort to save on resources, colleges and units may use existing materials until they run out.
UPDATE: 1/1
Use new unit wordmark on all newly created materials
All units are expected to begin using their unit wordmarks in all newly created materials from January 1st 2018 moving forward. To reduce costs, you may still use existing materials until they run out, beyond January 1st.
For the web, there is no additional requirement at this time. You may use your unit wordmark if you choose, however there will be a separate update for web design standards to follow.
