To ensure the project moves ahead on schedule and deadlines are met campus-wide, the project team asks that everyone wait to receive materials until the 12/1 release for unit wordmark file downloads.
In the schedule leading up to the complete standard, the team is vetting the standard and extending its definition. Realistically there will be some tweaks from now until then that could change the mark or a standard around its usage in some way. We understand this imposes challenges in your short term and long term planning. Since we need to account for this as a system, we cannot release pieces from the system until it is entirely resolved, the Block I logo replacement being the exception due to the alignment with the capital campaign.
Thank you for your patience. We realize this imposes challenges. In most cases, the use of the Illinois wordmark alone serves materials well. If you require your unit name, the materials you create will have more longevity if you do not lock up them together in a single mark.
