The Illinois State Archaeological Survey will be hiring for a dozen new positions this fall and winter, including a full-time research curator, an architectural historian, field and research archaeologists, and a field geoarchaeologist.
“We are envisioning these positions as part of a new beginning and a return to what we have always done best at the Prairie Research Institute and the University of Illinois—and that is large-scale research and compliance archaeology that enables us to pursue the big scientific questions of our day,” says ISAS director Tim Pauketat. “ISAS is moving forward, and we want to best to join us!"
Jobs will be posted on the ISAS website and shared in social media as they become available.
