With the weather warming up and a little more time on your hands, it might be nice to get out and go for a bike ride! Find a trail or bike path near your house while you’re home for break. If you can find a prairie path, go out during the golden hour when the sun is low and take some cute pictures. It will give you something to post when you get jealous of everyone in Florida! If you are lucky enough to be in Florida right now, rent a beach cruiser and could go for a ride on the sand! If you’re in Champaign over break, you should take advantage of a quiet campus and ride your bike without as many pedestrians to look out for. There are also great bike routes off campus that you could go explore. Here are some in the area that will offer great views:
Chenoa Route 66 Prairie Trail. 1 mi.
Conservation District Trail. 2.3 mi.
Constitution Trail. 41.9 mi.
Covington Circle Trail. 5.2 mi.
East Prairie Bicycle & Walking Path. 1 mi.
Fairview Park Trail. 1.7 mi.
Greenbelt Bikeway. 1.7 mi.
Kickapoo Rail Trail. 6.7 mi.
It’s also a great time to give your bikes a little spring cleaning and some extra love! Fill up those tires and make sure your chain isn’t rusting. Get ready for some bike weather when we go back to class in a few days!
