A little bit about Ryan:
Q: Where is home for you?
A: Lake Forest, Illinois
Q: What is your year and major?
A: I'm a senior majoring in Specialized Chemistry/Secondary Education.
Q: How did you know you wanted to go into the field of education?
A: I've known I've wanted to teach practically forever! My teachers always made school feel like home, and I want to do the same for my future students!
Q: What do you enjoy about the College of Education?
A: My lovely cohort! They're lots of fun to hang around and spark lots of fun discussions.
Q: Do you have a favorite professor or course? Why?
A: Stina! (Dr. Krist.) She's been amazingly patient working around everyone's schedules for CI402, and is always welcoming and excited for class!
Q: What do you enjoy about your campus experience so far?
A: Getting to be a part of the CU community! From chemistry outreach activities with ACS & REACT to placements at Leal, Edison, and Urbana High School, it's been wonderful getting to know so many students and teachers!
Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?
A: I quilt in my free time!
Q: Tell us about your future career plans after graduating.
A: Next year, I'll be taking a temporary detour to graduate school, but I'm excited to hopefully be teaching science to kiddos of all ages sometime in the future!
