"I love teaching children something new and exciting. Seeing their faces light up with knowledge gives me a sense of pride and happiness."
A little bit about Morgan
Q: Where is home for you?
A: I'm from River Grove, and attended East Leyden High School.
Q:What is your major?
A: I'm a freshman in Elementary Education.
Q: Why did you choose to come to Illinois?
A: When I was doing my research on colleges, I felt that Illinois fit all of my needs. I wanted a large public university that was very diverse and offered a great education program.
Q: How did you know you wanted to go into the field of education?
A: For all of my life I have wanted to be a teacher. I would play "School" by myself in my bedroom and teach my imaginary students or stuffed animals with old homework or workbooks I had from the previous years. I also love teaching children something new and exciting. Seeing their little faces light up with knowledge gives me a sense of pride and happiness.
Q: What are you looking forward to doing most in college?
A: I am looking forward to meeting new friends and exploring new opportunities. I would like to travel abroad, and one of my dreams is to teach underprivileged children in a different country.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: To be an Elementary Education Teacher.
Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?
A: I am an Aquarius!
