Middle Grades Education junior, Amanda Navarro knows that education has the power to change the world— and that's why she's here.
"Since I was younger, it was the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do. I’ve always wanted to give back, whether it was through my community or surrounding ones, but I knew I wanted to do it through education. Education is powerful. You can make so much change in the world if you’re educated."
A little bit about Amanda
Q: What do you enjoy about your campus experience, so far?
A: My favorite thing about campus is that I get the best of both worlds! I love that I can see what a big campus feels like, but as an education major I also experience the love and closeness of a small campus.
Q: What do you enjoy about the College of Education?
A: I love that staff and faculty truly care about getting to know each of their students with every chance they get. You never feel alone when you walk into the doors of the College of Education!
Q: Fun fact about you:
A: When I was younger I loved to play teacher. I took it so seriously that I expected all my cousins to get their homework done even though it was just a game.
