Scientists investigating the mass death of bumble bees in a Wilsonville, Oregon, Target parking lot say that pesticides are the most likely cause. Investigators confirmed that Dinotefuran, sold under the trade name ‘Safari,’ belongs to a class of insecticides called neonicotinoids that have been linked to bee deaths in recent years. Many are now calling for an end to cosmetic insecticide use.
