On May 3, 2016, intrepid bee spotter Barbara Williams will be presenting on Native Pollinators at the monthly meeting of the Northwest Illinois Audubon Society in Freeport, IL.
She will discuss a broad diversity of pollinators with a special focus on bees and bumble bees. She will focus on why we need pollinators, how we can encourage them, the problems with pesticides, how our land use affects insects, and how insects support ecosystems. If you're in the area and would like to attend, you can find more details about the talk on the Northwest Illinois Audubon Society website.
