This past weekend, BeeSpotter founder May Berenbaum submitted guest commentary to local Champaign-Urbana newspaper The News-Gazette to talk about the C-U March for Science which took place in Champaign-Urbana on Earth Day, April 22. She describes the event itself and the long history of science in the Champaign-Urbana community and at the University of Illinois since its inception. She also describes some of the ways that seemingly esoteric scientific studies have had a measurable impact on our lives and on the economy. Plus, she mentions BeeSpotter!
