The Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has awarded its 2012–14 Andrew W. Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellowships in the Humanities to two scholars chosen from an international field of applicants.
The IPRH-Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellows in the Humanities spend a two-year term in residence at Illinois, where they conduct research on their proposed projects and teach two courses per year in an appropriate academic department. The Fellows also participate in activities related to their research at the IPRH, in the teaching department, and on the Illinois campus. Each Post-Doctoral Fellow gives a public lecture that serves as the culmination of his or her research at Illinois. This is the third year of the IPRH-Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship program. The fellowships are funded by a six-year $1.25 million grant awarded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to IPRH in 2010.
The IPRH is delighted to announce the following recipients of the IPRH-Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellowships for 2012–14:
