All attendees will receive a small book documenting Professor Dong’s recent architecture and his work as Plym Professor.
The lecture will introduce the current projects by Vector Architects, a Chinese architecture practice based in Beijing. The firm was established in 2008 by its founding partner, Gong Dong. The studio has completed many award-winning projects that express a common belief that architecture is about continuity without beginning or end. Architecture is a medium to connect and nurture the spirit that exists in its site. This sensible quality could emanate from a unique landscape, a bustling city scenario, or from people and their lively movement.
