NEREC runs the “Summer Fellows Program” for undergraduate and graduate students. For the last six years, around 149 students from 77 universities in 37 countries and had a wonderful summertime by studying and doing research on nuclear nonproliferation and experiencing the Korean culture. This institution would love to meet other excellent students this summer.
The 2020 NEREC Summer Fellows Program, the 7th in its series, will be held as follows:
(1) Young Fellows Program for Undergraduate Students
- Duration: July 5 to August 7, 2020 (5 weeks)
- Place: KAIST, Daejeon, ROK
- Activities: Lectures on Nuclear energy and Nonproliferation, Debate or Role Play as teamwork, Group research, Field Trips to Seoul and Gyeongju, Participation and poster presentation at the NEREC Conference on Nuclear Nonproliferation and Korean cultural events
- Benefits: Lodging & Meals for 5 weeks and all costs related to field trips and Conference participation (approximately USD 2,500 per person)
(2) Graduate Fellows Program for Graduate Students
- Duration: July 5 to August 14, 2020 (6 weeks)
- Place: KAIST, Daejeon, ROK
- Activities: Lectures on Nuclear energy and Nonproliferation, Debate or Role Play as teamwork, Group research, Field trips to Seoul, Gyeongju, and Japan, Participation and poster presentation at the NEREC Conference on Nuclear Nonproliferation and Korean cultural events
- Benefits: Lodging & Meals for 6 weeks and all costs related to field trips and Conference participation (approximately USD 6,000 per person)
