On December 14, 2019, the UIC College of Nursing celebrated the graduation of 183 students at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. Among them, 49 students were from the Urban Health Program. The Commencement ceremony took place at the Credit Union 1 Arena.
Dr. Catherine Vincent, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at College of Nursing, Secretary of the Faculty Senate, and Chair of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, served as the marshal of the commencement.
Andrea Zopp, President and CEO of World Business Chicago, joined as keynote speaker. Among all her achievements, she was the first woman and African American to serve as the First Assistant in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. “Today marks the completion of one strenuous journey and the beginning of new adventure that you have been working towards.”
