New event data from the Social, Political and Economic Event Database Project (SPEED) is now available. This release of the data is different from previous versions in that event data for the United States is included. In addition, a new weighting variable has been added (ctry_bias) that should be used in making cross-country analysis in order to address the New York Times' country-bias.
