I love the idea of having the children move to the meaning of the word. I wonder if there could be some sort of feedback that when they move closer to the meaning of the word, a picture becomes clearer. I wonder if this would work only with nouns that refer to visible things, or if it could apply to abstract concepts, like fear or calm.

And I also like the motion tracking of writing words in the air.

Or what about some movement installation where children swipe across the screen with their hands from left to right and each syllable comes into view each time they swipe. Then they can swipe left and the whole word appears, dimly at first, but more clearly as they use their body to represent the meaning of the word.
