The Midwest Association for Latin American Studies (MALAS) is the regional body of the Latin American Studies Association. However, it is also older; 2020 will be MALAS’ 70th meeting. The conference was to be held originally in Washington DC this year, but because of the pandemic, we were unable to meet face to face. Instead, we will have fantastic presenters from the DC area; top public officials from inter-American organizations.
Please, join us on 10/30 for these virtual conferences. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about the inter-American system, and how they work on substantive areas of health, politics, and economics.
