We have over 1500 students in Stats & Math working on Risk Analytics, Risk Modeling, Theory of Finance and Actuarial Models for insurance or financial economics and analytics – computation and data analytic training. In the Gies College of Business, we have a top accounting program as well as academies focused on risk management and insurance, investment banking, investment management, venture capital, private equity, corporate finance, as well as the Deloitte Center for Data & Analytics. Our Grainger College of Engineering is the 6th best program as well as the largest in the US with top programs including Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Our Financial Engineering students are working in derivative securities valuation, optimal portfolio execution, portfolio management, model calibration, volatility modeling, statistical inference of financial models, financial networks, risk management, and high-frequency trading. In our School of Information Sciences students work on information retrieval, automatic text classification and mining, information management, HCI, knowledge management systems, information quality, NLP, and machine learning.
