Biography: I am a sophomore in the School of Information Sciences with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction. I hope to take what I learn at Illinois and use it to start a career in UI/UX design within the tech industry.
Why Information Sciences: For the first year of college, I felt very out of place in several of my courses. During the spring semester, I took an inventory of my hobbies, skills, and future career interests. After discovering the bachelor’s program in Information Sciences, I finally felt like I found a niche that aligns with what I want to pursue. I see the iSchool as a very unique community of students and teachers. With the program being so interdisciplinary, I believe that I could learn from each individual within the iSchool. At the same time, I believe I could bring my own contributions to the table to further diversify the body of interests that make up the iSchool. I truly see myself excelling in the program.
