Biography: Nate is a self-proclaimed nerd who enjoys talking about pretty much all aspects of technology. Be it the technical aspects of computers, circuitry, software, hardware, videogames, film -- or even social implications of certain pieces of consumer hardware on the market. While he's quiet and soft-spoken in crowds, you really won't catch a dull moment in a conversation of technology.
Why Information Sciences: I originally found out about Information Sciences by my interest in cybersecurity, however, I've since learned that Information Sciences is much more of a diverse area of study. After learning more about IS as a whole as well as iSchool as a community, I've started feeling as if this is where I fit. I'm neither a specialist in any sort of technology or engineering (so Grainger didn't feel right for me) nor am I strictly artistic (so Creative Writing didn't feel right for me either). However, Information Sciences is complex in such a way that it can utilize both artistic and technological traits of a personality and make it very appealing to competitive positions in both internships and careers. Additionally, the iSchool community is very open and friendly, so I just appreciate that.
