Biography: As of right now I would say that I do not have any specific jobs that I want to rush into. In my future career, I could see myself possibly becoming a data architect, creating structures to crunch large sets of data, or possibly figuring out a way to contextualize and make sense to visualize what the data means. In terms of where I am looking to work I don't really have a preference of a big company or small, as long as the company I work for is trying to do some good for the world.
Why Information Sciences: Information Science can be applied in many situations for pretty much every type of business, which is a large reason of why I want to become an information scientist. I want to be able to know that no matter where I end up as a professional I will be an asset that has value, and in my mind the value that information scientists bring to companies will always be essential. Even in these troubling times, I see that those in information related fields such as data
analysts doing work for the betterment of the world, such as creating visual systems that help track people with COVID-19 to notify those around them.
