  • Summer 2021 Career Center Internship

    The Career Center is hiring two undergraduate interns for the summer.  These students will be responsible for a combination of outreach duties, providing a review of student resumes/cover letters, leading career readiness presentations and workshops, and some other project-based work for our office.  If you know students who are searching for a summer internship, encourage them to apply!  We welcome undergraduate applicants from all programs and disciplines.  Applications should be sent to me via e-mail by end of the day on Monday, May 3rd.

CCL trainers will teach techniques to use in lobbying Congress and building public political will for climate action!   • SD Faculty Member Conor O’Shea- Wild Zones: Designing for Urban Wildlife

    April 15, 8:30 AM–6:30 PM  "Wild Zones: Designing for Urban Wildlife at the Intersection of Landscape Architecture, Biology, and Public Policy" convenes designers, scientists, and planners to discuss new ways to increase biodiversity in urban environments. Join this day-long symposium which convenes experts from landscape architecture, science, and policy!

  • Save the Date! TED Talk: Eco-Edition

    7-8 p.m. | Thursday, April 29 | Register  Join us for a "TED Talk: Eco-Edition" to celebrate Earth Month, focusing on environmental activism. Together, participants will view a prerecorded TED Talk, presented in July 2020 by Xiye Bastida: "If you adults won't save the world, we will." Afterward, all are invited to participate in a guided discussion and roundtable.

  • CABBI Offers New Summer Internship!

    A new research opportunity for undergraduates interested in a STEM career will launch this summer at the Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation (CABBI). The Research Internship in Sustainable Bioenergy (RISE) is a 10-week summer program designed to provide research and career development opportunities to undergraduates from groups underrepresented in STEM fields. Students will be paired with a mentor, attend seminars, and present their work. $4,800 stipend; application deadline is April 23

  • Spring 2021 UIUC Bird Strike

    Sun, April 4, to Sat May 8. The Champaign County Audubon Society needs your help in finding birds to see which buildings on campus are prone to the most bird collisions. We will need volunteers to walk routes on campus, looking for bird collisions and submitting data. No prior experience with birds is needed! There are two routes to be covered twice a day, 7-9AM, and 5-7PM shifts.
