  • Ann Fredricksen, One of the 2020 Recipients of the Larine Y. Cowan Make A Difference Award

    Five faculty and staff were recognized for their dedication to diversity and inclusion as the 2020 recipients of the Larine Y. Cowan Make A Difference Award. Staff member Ann Fredricksen from Disability Resources & Educational Services (DRES) was one of those recipients. Ann strives for excellence in all aspects of her work to better serve students with disabilities at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

  • Facilities Manager, Chad Wahls, and Operations and Properties Manager, Nathan Mandel

    The School of Music had a tremendous amount of work to do in order to get ready for this first-of-its-kind semester of school. Chad Wahls and Nathan Mandel were on the front lines of all of this work. The series of projects they had to complete was what felt like a never-ending list, and the School of Music would like to say a big THANK YOU for all that they did and continue to do.

  • Video Services Team Brings Home 8 Telly Awards

    The Video Services team of Public Affairs (Andrew Gleason, Emily Polk, and Thomas Polk) have brought home EIGHT Telly Awards this year. The includes four Gold Tellys and four Silver Tellys. Congratulations to all three employees, and thank you for continually producing AMAZING WORK.

  • Eleven of the 2020 Forty Under 40 Award Winners Are UIUC Employees

    Central Illinois Business Magazine’s 13th Forty Under 40 class includes 11 UIUC employees. The awards recognize young professionals for their achievements, experience, innovation, leadership, and community involvement. Not only did the list of forty include 11 UIUC employees, the "Woman and Man of the Year" are also from UIUC!

  • Emilia Schroer, Riechmann Award Recipient

    Emilia Schroer spends her days working for Illinois Human Resources as a Program Coordinator in Employee Development and Learning. She is simultaneously attending graduate school in Education Policy, Organization and Leadership within the College of Education. This past fall she was one of three students selected to receive the Riechmann Award. Congratulations, Emilia!

  • A Well-Deserved Promotion for Brooke D’Urso

    Brooke D’Urso earned a promotion to Office Administrator at the School of Labor and Employment Relations, and in addition to supporting the Associate Dean and all Career Services activities, she will be taking on an increased role with staff supervision, human resources, and facilities for the school.
