Students in F-1 status may work on-campus part time (up to 20 hours per week) during the academic year. Please keep this in mind when appointment requests are submitted by hiring managers. Remind hiring managers to communicate hires to the office responsible for completing the I-9 and processing the appointment prior to the hire working. When a F-1 student violates the hours limitation of their visa more than once, it will result in termination of the student’s F-1 status.
