I love catching up during the holidays over a warm cup and a nice conversation. For a non-alcoholic option, just do Cider and Spices!
Cider
- 2 gallons of cider (look for fresh local cider, if possible)
- mulled spices packet
- small bottle of bourbon.
- Cloth, metal or disposable tea sachet for mulling spices.
- Garnishes: Orange, Anise seeds, Cranberries, Rosemary sprigs
- Pour Cider and bourbon (1/4 cup or to taste) into a crockpot. If you do not have a crockpot, use the stove on low
- Add spices in sachet to liquid, warm for 1-2 hours minimum
- Ladle and serve with your favorite holiday garnish.
Wine
- 1 bottle of red wine
- Small bottle of brandy
- Cloth, metal or disposable tea sachet for mulling spices.
