As previously communicated, we are currently in the lapse period for FY26 state funds. Please complete the following steps before the lapse period ends on August 31:
- Reconcile Regularly: Review and reconcile your C-FOPs throughout the remainder of the lapse period. This will help ensure the expenses that belong on the 100026 state fund (but are currently posted elsewhere) are reclassified before the lapse period ends.
- Verify Expense Appropriateness: As part of your reconciliation process, verify that all FY26 expenses currently posted to your 100026 state C-FOPs are appropriate. Also, ensure that no FY27 expenses have been charged to the 100026 state fund, as FY27 transactions must be recorded on the 100027 state fund.
- Budget Adjustments: If any final budget adjustments are needed to address surplus or deficit balances, work with your college or campus budget office to ensure they are processed before the end of the lapse period.
- Labor Redistributions: If any final labor redistributions are needed on the 100026 state fund, these will have to be processed in periods 01 or 02 of FY27 at this point, as labor redistributions are not possible in period 14. Refer to the previously issued guidance for further details.
- End of Lapse Period: Per the FY26 Year-End Closing Letter, August business officially closes on Thursday, September 3, 2026. After this date, the 100026 state fund will be terminated in Banner with a termination date of 8/31/26, and no further transactions will be allowed.
