Updated Rate Calculation Templates
The System Government Costing Rate Calculation Templates make it as easy as possible to perform a rate calculation for 3E service centers. These templates, available on the BusFin Service and Storeroom Centers and Service Activity Resources pages, have been updated to include many performance improvements and a user-friendly design. They are available in multiple sizes, from five to 50 product lines, and for markups. These templates also include embedded job aids and helpful hyperlinks with step-by-step guidance on how to complete that section of the rate calculation.
Updated EDDIE Rate Calculation Financial Report
The EDDIE Rate Calculation Financial Report is used to pull financial data from Banner for rate calculations. It integrates seamlessly with the Rate Calculation Templates and includes powerful new features:
- Conditional Formatting – The report now highlights expense account codes and equipment that are unallowable, need further review, or should be excluded from the calculation.
- Simplified Prompts – The prompts now only require Chart of Account, Service Fund, and Fiscal Year. Equipment depreciation is now always included for the fiscal year selected and no longer require the “%” wildcard for the 3-digit org code.
- Related Equipment – The Equip Service tab now identifies any equipment purchased on the 3E fund code or has the fund listed as the Fund Attribute Value, making it easy to identify related equipment.
- Depreciation Calculation– Depreciation is now calculated for any previous fiscal year and displays estimated depreciation for the current fiscal year. It also compares the depreciation posted in Banner and highlights any discrepancies.
Rate Calculation Financial Report with Depreciation
- Additional Salaries Visibility – Salaries now display the other funding sources for all employees who have any salaries or wages paid from the 3E fund.
- Two New Reports – Equipment Detail by Org and Equipment Detail by PTag or OTag. These reports may be useful for reviewing all equipment on an org, or to find one specific piece of equipment.
