Greetings,
The Business and Finance Policy Office announces the call for applications to the fifth cohort of the Business and Finance Policy Advisory Group (PAG) September 14–25, 2026. PAG’s purpose is to ensure that revisions to the Policy Manual are reviewed and feedback is provided by experienced business office staff across the University of Illinois System who have displayed a level of skill, interest, and understanding in system operations, especially as they relate to policy.
As a business office staff member, we encourage you to apply to serve a one-year term in this important policy group. In addition to providing feedback on policy updates under consideration, you will provide insight into practical policy implementation and application process. Your membership will aid in ensuring that policies are accurate and easy for the University of Illinois System Business and Finance community to understand and use.
Please do not let your years of service at the university or in a business office capacity deter you from applying! In fact, we want a spectrum of experience to make up the PAG. Business office staff who have been at the university or in a business office capacity for many years can bring historical knowledge, while someone newer to the role can bring a fresh perspective to the group.
In addition to our thanks and recognition for your selection and service on PAG, your membership will offer professional development opportunities. For your commitment to reviewing policy and supplying insight, we will train you in the policymaking processes that can aid you in becoming a source of policy expertise and advocacy for your unit.
To be considered for a one-year term as a PAG member, please complete a short survey.
For further information about the PAG, please visit our website.
If you have any questions about the PAG, please don’t hesitate to reach out to anyone in the Policy Office. We’d love to speak with you:

Sincerely,
Business and Finance Policy Office
