UIUC Purchasing & Contract Management Office is announcing a new contract option for Industrial, Laboratory Gases, and Welding Products & Services through award 2502GAL, which was awarded to Airgas. Award 2502GAL is an IPHEC adoption of an E&I Cooperative Services contract.
Contract Term: 10/1/2024 – 9/30/2029 (Including one 5-year renewal option)

Contract Highlights:
- Comprehensive portfolio of products, including core specialty lab pure gases and gas mixtures, cylinders, process chemicals, dry ice, carbon dioxide, rare gases, and more.
- Lab design services, including custom gas delivery systems.
- Turnkey cryogenic solutions for life sciences research.
- On-site gas and inventory management technician.
- Gas and inventory management solutions (EZ-GAZ™ monitors cylinder pressure and alerts when they're low).
Highlighted Changes:
- This new agreement implements daily rental fees for all cylinders rented to UIUC. This change will apply to all existing cylinders currently on campus. Fees will be charged at the end of the month starting 10/31/2024.

- Airgas is currently working with other departments to provide audits of current inventories. Please work with Airgas to ensure current cylinder inventories are up to date to minimize unnecessary additional fees.
-Departments can view cylinder inventory balances on the Airgas website. For assistance on how to access this information, use the tutorial video link above and scroll to “Cylinders” and select “Viewing Cylinder Balances.” Under the same tutorial section, there is also a video on “Returning Cylinders.”

The master agreement terms and conditions will apply to all PCard transactions with Airgas for the duration of the term.
