This image shows the Arabidopsis plants being grown on a growth medium plate. It was the water droplets on the plate cover that motivated me to click this photo. If looked at closely, plants underneath each water drop are reflected differently through each drop. At an abstract level, it captures my work in plant biology. I grow these plants to analyze them under a microscope, study their physiology and growth, and analyze their genetic data. This encompasses a diverse set of experiments. Each analysis tells a different story about the plants. Yet, at the root of all experiments, it is the same plants. This image captures that as water droplets represent different experimental approaches reflecting a different angle of the same plant. This image is also an invitation to all plant scientists to look at the plants through their unique lenses and discover the many stories that are yet to be told.
