The Office of Online Learning is partnering with online learning offices at universities across Illinois to co-sponsor the state’s first Illinois Online Higher Education Symposium November 8, 2024.
Higher education instructors who teach online, online leaders or administrators, instructional designers, instructional technologists, and anyone interested in online learning are invited to join in engaging discussions with thought leaders and practitioners during this free, virtual conference.
Attendees and presenters will both benefit from collaboration and communication with the community of online and digital educators.
Towards Online Excellence symposium sessions will focus on online teaching practices unique to Illinois' history, geography, and demography, and topics may include teaching online, designing online, hybrid, or HyFlex courses, and administering or leading online programs.
Registration will open soon for the symposium. Presentation proposals are being accepted at this time. Find complete proposal criteria and the timeline, and submit your proposals, at the online learning symposium website.
Along with the Illinois’ Office of Online Learning, the symposium’s partner institutions include University of Illinois Springfield; Eastern Illinois University; Western Illinois University; Governors State University, Northern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University; and Illinois State University.
