Why did you join CCP?
I joined CCP because I wanted a space where I could both grow personally and help others feel supported. Mental health has always been something I’ve cared about, and CCP gave me the chance to learn real skills in listening, communication, and outreach while being part of a team that values empathy and connection. What stood out to me most was the idea of reaching people who might not otherwise feel comfortable seeking help, I wanted to be someone they could turn to. At the same time, CCP has helped me learn more about myself, how I show up for others, and how I can use these experiences in my future path in healthcare.
Hopes for Future Career
For my future career, I hope to work in healthcare in a way that blends science with compassion. I want to be in a role where I can support patients not only through medical knowledge, but also by creating a safe and understanding environment where they feel heard. My goal is to contribute to reducing barriers to care, especially for communities that may face stigma or limited access to resources. I see myself carrying forward the skills I’ve built in CCP, empathy, active listening, and outreach, to ensure that I care for the whole person, not just their diagnosis.
