    Cornell University is hosting this valuable workshop that is designed to encourage undergraduate or masters students to pursue and achieve a PhD.  The theme of the workshop centers around systems and networking, but students with a background in CS, EE, Math, and Physics are eligible to apply.  The workshop is fully funded and provides for all travel costs.  Apply directly to www.cs.cornell.edu/workshop/sonic

    Workshop Dates:  June 15-23, 2013

    Women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.

    This short program is designed to encourage and help prepare students to attend graduate school in the sciences. It is aimed at undergraduates who are rising juniors or seniors.  Students will learn how earth & planetary scientists approach large, complex problems and how new research, instruments, data, and analytic tools that are producing results at the nexus of science, public understanding and policymaking. Students will gain a basic understanding of computing and visualization tools.
