  • Father Ray Foundation in Pattaya, Thailand

    The Father Ray Foundation cares for and educates 850 underprivileged children and students with disabilities. The Father Ray Foundation is the umbrella organisation for several social projects mostly in Pattaya, on the east coast of Thailand. Volunteers work across most, if not all of our projects, including:

    • Father Ray Day Care Center    
    • Pattaya Redemptorist Technological College for People with Disabilities  
    • Redemptorist Foundation for People with Disabilities  
    • Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind  
    • Father Ray School for Children with Special Needs  
    • Father Ray Children’s Village  
    • Father Ray Children’s Home  

    Our volunteer positions would be particularity suitable for, but not exclusive to, people who are considering to:

    • be to a teacher
    • be a language teacher
    • work in education
    • work with people with disabilities
    • work with children
    • be a social worker
    • do physiotherapy or similar

    We provide volunteers with their own, private accommodation and three meals per day. We do not charge any fees to volunteers with us. We are continually looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can ideally come for six months to support our work. We consider all applications, as long as the applicants are fluent in English, and they can show their dedication and commitment in their application form.   • Camp PALS Counselor - 6/21-6/29

    Camp PALS is a week-long, sleepaway camp where volunteer counselors are paired 1:1 with young adult campers with Down syndrome. Volunteer counselors are paired one-to-one with Campers and spend the week on teams at college campuses as they build new friendships, explore new regions, and take part in dynamic programming.   • Become a Summer Camp Volunteer! - 7/6-7/12

    MDA Summer camp gives kids ages 8-17 the freedom to be kids with others who are just like them during a life-changing week of fun and friendship, where barriers don't exist. Volunteering at MDA will enrich your life and inspire you in ways you never dreamed possible. This camp is located in Timber Pointe Outdoor in Hudson, IL.   • His Kid's Closet Volunteer Coordinator

    We are currently searching for the right individual to take over the volunteer leadership position of VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR.  This is a vital role that allows this ministry to continue to serve the people of Champaign-Urbana and surrounding communities.  His Kid's Closet is designed to provide those in need with clothing and other needs at no or low cost and by showing people God's love.  His kid’s closet originally began operations in 2014 under the umbrella of Kenwood PTA.

    This position is responsible for finding and training volunteers to serve, primarily on Tuesdays from 9am to 4pm to sort and distribute clothing at the Champaign Urbana Public Health District (WIC office) at 201 West Kenyon Road, Champaign, IL.  

    If you are unable to help in a leadership role but would like to serve with this ministry we also always need volunteers that are able to work shifts on Tuesdays between 9 and 4.

  • Fullbright Scholarship Information Sessions

    The Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards approximately 2,000 full scholarships annually to students for a year of study, research or English teaching in any of over 140 countries worldwide. The National and International Scholarship Program will be hosting information sessions (starting April 16th) for undergraduate students and recent alumni to provide an overview of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, including eligibility, grant types, and application advice.   • Barbara Seaquist William Internship

    This paid internship position provides the opportunity for a student to work with the Champaign-Urbana community and its ever-changing needs. The intern will engage in volunteer-related activities and organize office projects related to service, and the intern’s major and interest areas. The intern will network with professionals in the field and help develop a climate of community engagement on and off-campus. The intern will also learn skills in project management, managing team members, and administrative duties.


    Will be either a junior or senior class status beginning Fall 2019 Previous volunteer or leadership experience Ability to work with diverse population of students and organizations Strong leadership, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills Demonstrated program and project management skills High academic achievement (a minimum 2.8/4.0 GPA) Available to work 12-15 hours per week for both fall and spring semesters, plus attend staff meetings as requested Pay Rate: $9.25/hr.

  • Garden Planting at The Orpheum Children's Science Museum - 5/18

    Volunteers will help transplant some new plants in the butterfly garden. These plants will be used for our I-Pollinate Research Garden through University of Illinois Extension's citizen science initiative.   • Astronomy Day Activity Assistant at The Orpheum Children's Science Museum - 5/11

    Astronomy Day is part of a national celebration of educational programs in earth and space science. At the Orpheum, this event will feature several activities that volunteers will be running.   • Summer Camp Prep at The Orpheum Children's Science Museum - 6/7

    Volunteers can come to help us prepare our classrooms before STEAM summer camps start. Some tasks include sorting LEGOS, organizing educational supplies, setting up tables and chairs, and more. Volunteers will work directly with our museum staff. Sign up here and contact with any questions. 

  • Pollinator Week Activity Assistant at The Orpheum Children's Science Museum - 6/23

    Volunteers will work with museum staff to lead activities on different aspects of pollination and pollinator biology. Each day there will be different themed activities such as butterflies, bees, flowers, pollen, prairie ecology, and crops.
