  • Updated Temporary Control Number Request Process

    University Payroll & Benefits has updated the TCN Request Process by no longer requiring non-student employees to request a temporary control number in person.  Units need to send copies of the following information to fninquiry@uillinois.edu in order to request the TCN:

    • Passport ID page
    • US visa & entry stamp
    • DS-2019 (for J-1 visa holder)
    • I-797 (for almost every other visa type)
    • Offer letter
    • SSN Receipt of Application (if paid position and SSA is accepting application)
  • University’s Paid COVID Leave Is Continuing

    The expiration date is still TBD, and it will be communicated when there is an end date. Here is the link to where the application is located: https://www.hr.uillinois.edu/leave/temporary_coronavirus_paid_leave.

  • Spring 2022 Process

    An email was sent October 28, 2021, with information about processing Spring appointments. If you process appointments, please read the email, and if there are any questions, please send an email to ihr@illinois.edu.

  • Retiree-Rehire Application URL Changing

    This afternoon of November 16, 2021, the Retiree-Rehire application will change its URL from https://hrnet.uihr.uillinois.edu/UHR/RetireeRehire/index.cfm to https://retireerehire.uillinois.edu. The current URL will redirect to the new address for a few weeks. Be sure to update your bookmarks.

  • HR Systems to HR Newscast

    HR Systems is now HR Newscast! We’re integrating our communications, and our live meetings for campus HR contacts—in person or in Zoom—will be renamed HR Newscast. Our print communications, including HR Newscast agendas, Zoom invitations, and meeting notes, will be disseminated via the HR Newsfeed.

    If you are not sure if you are on the HR Newsfeed list, don’t worry, we’ve consolidated the old HR Systems distribution and the HR Newsfeed distribution.

  • FREE Microsoft Teams Basics Offered by Training Services

    Teams is a communications platform available through Microsoft 365. In this 2-hour online workshop, learn how to navigate the Teams environment and communicate with Teams. We will practice participating in online Teams meetings and discuss sharing screens and files. We will finish up by creating a team and configuring a channel.

  • CAPE Award Nominations Due December 20, 2021

    The Chancellor's Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE) Award is designed to recognize the importance of contributions made by academic professionals. Nominees are evaluated on three criteria: work, personal, and professional contributions. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on December 20, 2021.
