Using Your Benefits
- Always use network pharmacies—you may pay more if you do not.
- Visit Caremark.com or download the CVS Caremark app (available here) to:
- Check costs before filling a prescription
- Compare drug costs
- Request refills and view order status
- Send a message directly to your pharmacy
Save Money with Mail Service and 90-Day Supplies
- Save money by getting a 90-day supply of maintenance medications.
- With Maintenance Choice, members in OAP, QCHP, and CDHP may receive certain medications in a 90-day supply at half the copayment when filled at CVS Caremark® pharmacies or through CVS Caremark® Mail Service. Please contact CVS Caremark® to determine if your medication is available under this benefit. Learn more.
Maintenance Medications
- If you are prescribed a maintenance medication listed on the Designated Maintenance Medications list and receive it as a 30-day prescription, you may fill it at your local pharmacy for the applicable copay for the first two fills.
- Beginning on the third fill, any 30-day prescriptions of the medication will be at a much higher copay unless your doctor changes it to a 90-day prescription and it is filled at a CVS Caremark® Retail Pharmacy or through CVS Caremark® Mail Service Pharmacy.
Preventive Prescription Drugs
Many preventive and contraceptive drugs are covered at no cost. See the Preventive Services Drug List.
Changing Pharmacies?
Prescriptions can be transferred to your new pharmacy, but it may be faster to ask your doctor to send a new prescription.
