Also for the first time, audio description (AD) is being test piloted with the “Soul of Bronzeville”exhibit. The idea came from Interim Director of the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center Liz Thomson, who learned about this accessibility tool from the staff at UIC’s Disability Resource Center. As a documentary photographer and photojournalist, Liz appreciates audio description so that images can be accessible to everyone. We hope the AD is helpful and useful in increasing accessibility of the arts to more communities.
