New Funding Opportunity!
The Dow Chemical Company Undergraduate Research Support Fund aims to provide funding to first-generation and minority engineering students to conduct research in science and engineering through mentored-research and to expose them to community outreach. The support fund basically provides $500 to help defray the cost of an undergraduate student’s research project which can be done in summer 2017 or fall 2017.
Eligibility
- Engineering undergraduate students
- First-generation and/or minority students
- Research projects focused on agricultural biotechnology and chemical solutions related to health and sustainability of environmental resources will be given priority
As part of community outreach, successful applicants will be required to present their research work in a local high school/community college to talk about their research work and to share their experiences to inspire other students to pursue science and engineering careers.

- Personal statement explaining why student wants to do undergraduate research (no more than 500 words)
