  • Equitable Community Solar and Energy Assistance Fellowship

    The Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) is now accepting applications for the Equitable Community Solar and Energy Assistance Fellowship. This fellowship will enable you to spend up to two years embedded within host organizations in participating pilot regions. You will enhance your education and training in many areas including: clean energy, energy affordability, communications, and education, and/or community engagement, increasing your marketability in these disciplines, collaborating with top scientists and engineers, and gaining insight into career opportunities through your experiences and under the leadership of your mentor.

    Participation Eligibility:

    You must meet the following criteria to participate in the program:

    • Be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
    • Be currently pursuing or have completed requirements for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD within the last 5 years, or complete all the requirements for the degree by the anticipated start date of the appointment.

  • Patent Education Online Course

  • FBI Counterterrorism and Forensic Science Research Unit Fellowship

    This project involves the development of extraction and instrumental methods for the analysis of residues from detonators (primary explosives) used in criminal cases.  Under the guidance of a mentor, you will perform sophisticated laboratory techniques using emerging technologies, judge the completeness and accuracy of research results, perform statistical analyses on data, and prepare written manuscripts for FBI review and publication in peer-reviewed journals.     Join STARS (Summer Training on Awareness and Readiness for Semiconductors) at Purdue! Get paid to learn about semiconductors and grow your semiconductor training. Geared towards freshman and sophomore students but all undergraduate student ages/majors welcome to apply. Application is open December 2024 for Summer 2025.   • Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)


    SURF is a 10-week-long paid research opportunity for undergraduates enrolled in US universities. The Purdue SURF application opens Dec 1, 2024. Priority deadline is Jan 15, 2025 with rolling admissions after this deadline. This program runs from May 25- August 8, 2025 SURF Students receive a summer stipend of $6,500. Send any summer research questions to  eur@purdue.edu

    Also check out the Pathways Scholars cohort of SURF, if you are interested in graduate school and a PhD. Selected Pathways Scholars receive $10k, which includes summer stipend ($6500) and is expected to cover the cost of housing ($2500 summer housing allowance) and travel (up to $1000 travel reimbursement).

    This Graduate School mentoring for freshman and sophomore students (at least 2+ years remaining in bachelor's degree) will help you build your professional network and get the insider scoop about graduate school through online mentoring circles.   • Paid Summer Internship for Undergraduates at UC San Diego

    The Marine Physical Laboratory (MPL) at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego is currently seeking undergraduates with exceptional aptitude for quantitative science and technology to apply for the 2025 MPL Summer Internship Program. 

    The MPL Summer Internship program is a paid, ten-week research program where students complete their own individual research project under the mentorship. In addition to their research, students will attend weekly seminars, participate in hands-on activities, and more. Interns receive a $18.00/hour salary and a $6,000 taxable stipend to offset costs of housing, meals, transportation, etc. issued upon arrival.

  • Nebraska’s Summer Research Program

    The University of Nebraska - Lincoln is accepting applications for the Nebraska Summer Research Program. This is a 10-week program from June 2nd to August 7th, 2025. Students will have the opportunity to not only enhance their academic resumes but also forge meaningful connections with faculty and peers. The program may be of interest to students focused on Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Education.

    Students can apply for up to three different research groups. Priority review of applications begins Saturday, February 1, and all applications are due by Saturday, March 1. https://srp.unl.edu/Application  

  • 2024 Ford Motor Company Fund & NACME Scholarships

    The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) invites you to apply for a $5,000 Ford Fund Scholarship.

    Students who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

    • Minimum GPA 3.0
    • Academic Level:  Juniors and Seniors
    • United States Citizen or Permanent Resident and an Underrepresented Minority (URM) 
    • Majoring in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Petroleum Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Systems Engineering, and/or Computer Science fields
