Canvas, our learning management system, is offline due to an ongoing cybersecurity incident impacting universities nationwide. We are awaiting information from Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, as to when the service will become available again. Until the vendor can solve this problem, EITP online asynchronous trainings will be unavailable. This issue is affecting universities across the country, according to a Massmail sent by university officials on Thursday night.
The University emphasized that people should not click on the links at the bottom of the ShinyHunters’ message on Canvas, as they may contain malware.
University leaders are meeting with the college deans and the Senate Executive Committee, and they will communicate more details before noon Sunday.
