The Knight of the Burning Pestle is about a show that is interrupted by audience members who are tired of seeing shows about Kings and upperclassmen.  They want a show about them, so they force their way into the play by throwing their apprentice Rafe right into the plot.  The actors scramble to keep their plot together and structured, but are constantly thrown into chaos by the couple of audience members
