Latin American Film Festival: September 18 – 24 at 5:00 p.m. at The Art Theater, 126 W. Church, Champaign
For the last eight years the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) at the University of Illinois organizes a one-week Latin American film festival for all the community. This year festival, six recent fiction films and one documentary from different countries of the region will be screened. This year line-up includes: “The Film Critic” (Argentina), “The Invisible Collection” (Brazil), “I'm not Lorena” (Chile), “Behavior” (Cuba), “His Wedding Dress” (Cuba-Spain), “Zanahoria” (Uruguay), and the documentary “All of Me” (Mexico). This year the newly established relations with Cuba are celebrated with two films and the presence of the director of Invisible Collection, Bernard Attal, for a Q&A session with the audience on Friday night.
