The University of Illinois Music and Performing Arts Library offers amazing resources for all students. This special tour led by head librarian John Wagstaff gives U of I students an introduction to all the services and information available at the Music and Performing Arts Library. Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra will work as master teachers with selected University of Illinois School of Music students. All U of I students are invited to observe these teaching sessions. Locations are being determined, at Krannert Center and the School of Music.

Trumpet masterclass with John Hagstrom, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra Performance (students should join the waiting list if they don't yet have tickets) on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in Foellinger Great Hall, Krannert Center ($10 for U of I students)
In its 125th anniversary season, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra returns to Foellinger Great Hall. Esteemed guest conductor Semyon Bychkov leads this program of music by or inspired by Brahms.
After-Concert Party is on the Southeast Terrace, Krannert Center (Oregon Street side) and is free.
After the concert, celebrate your experience! Join fellow students, as well as sponsors of the evening’s performance and faculty and staff “co-adventurers” into classical music, for a post-concert conversation while enjoying complimentary snacks and soft drinks. (A cash bar will be available.)
