Japanese Festival Food Workshop with Tamaki Levy: If you have attended a Japanese Festival, such as Matsuri, which was held at the beginning of this semester, you know how wonderful the food found at those events is! Join Tamaki Levy on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. for a hands-on cooking workshop on these delicious recipes.
You will learn how to make okonomiyaki (a savory pancake filled with your choice of ingredients), yakisoba (a stir fried noodle dish), and daigaku imo, also known as University potatoes because these Japanese sweet potato treats are perfectly cheap and filling for students! Come, learn, and eat!
Space is limited to 16 and will go quickly! Visit our Japan House eventbrite page at http://www.eventbrite.com/o/japan-house-8186242359 to sign up (also, opportunities to sign up for Japanese Tea Ceremony and Calligraphy Workshop with Shozo Sato: Chinese Ideograms available at this site).
Japan House is located at 2000 South Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, IL 61802.
