The Day of Service Planning Committee is in search of Table Captains for the 4th Annual Community & Campus Day of Service on April 9, 2016! This year, members of the local community and University of Illinois faculty, staff, and students will join forces in packaging 149,000 meals – one thousand for every year of public engagement since the University was chartered – for local foodbanks to be distributed to needy families in eastern Illinois.
The Table Captain role is an exciting and impactful leadership opportunity that oversees 1-2 packaging lines throughout the duration of the event to help guide volunteers in proper packaging procedures, answer questions as they arise, and troubleshoot any challenges that pop up. Table Captains are crucial to the success of the event, so your help is needed to combat hunger in our community!
No experience necessary, training will be provided, and you will receive a free Day of Service t-shirt and lunch! More information and the application can be found at: http://illinifightinghunger.org/table-captains/. Apply today!
