The Calvin Ke Award, established by the parents of a wonderful CHP student to honor his memory and the ideals he lived by, recognizes a graduating Chancellor's Scholar for exemplifying the values of the Campus Honors Program. Winners of this award have been standouts in creating a community in the Honors House, in helping the program with service and social programs, and in representing us to the larger community. The winner of the Calvin Ke Award receives an engraved marble and bronze commemoration, permanent listing on the plaque in the Honors House Lounge, and a cash prize.
We need to hear from you about students whom you think have provided this kind of leadership. If you have someone in mind, please send a letter of nomination and tell us as much as you can about the merits of your nominee. The winner will be announced at the CHP Graduation Reception. Nominations are due by 5:00 p.m. on April 1, 2016, and should be addressed to the CHP Director: Dr. Kim Graber, Campus Honors Program, Mail Code 304, 1205 West Oregon Street, Urbana, IL 61801.
