Thousands of new students join our community for the first time each year. Serving as an I-Guide is a great opportunity to introduce students and their families to campus and make a real impact. This tradition of serving the campus began in 1947 and the program is one of the longest-lasting student-run organizations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They need VOLUNTEERS like you to help keep the tradition! To sign up to be an I-Guide click on the link: http://housing.illinois.edu/iguides
As an I-Guide, you will:
*Welcome new students to campus
*Gain valuable leadership experience.
*Earn Service Hours
*Role model and make new friends.
*Receive free meals, T-shirt, water bottle and sling bag.
*Move in to University Housing as early as Sunday August 14, 2016 and beat the crowds (see details on our website).
The web address below will take you to the I-Guide page. Once there, scroll down to “Sign Up to be an I-Guide” and click on the link. http://housing.illinois.edu/iguides.
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email confirming that you have registered. Additionally, the email will include information regarding the date you should return to campus. Please note that if the hall you want to sign up for is not listed as an option in the drop-down list, that means the hall has currently reached its maximum number of I-Guides. However, you can choose another hall or the alternate option and Housing can try to relocate you should an opening become available in your preferred hall. You must notify the I-Guide program by email of your interest in being relocated. If you have already signed up to be an I-Guide, there is no need to sign up again. If you have any questions, feel free to email iguide@housing.illinois.edu.
