As of academic year 2016/17, OUR is replacing its Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship-Abroad (SURF-A), and Research Travel Grant, with our new Research Support Grant (RSG). (Please note there is still our Conference Travel Grant to support undergraduate students’ travel for conference presentations.)
There will be two application cycles every academic year – one at the beginning of the Fall semester, and one at the beginning of the Spring semester. Awards will be up to $2,000 and can cover travel costs (transportation, housing, food, etc.), living expenses incurred during academic breaks (e.g., winter break, summer terms and NOT regular semester living expenses), and materials.
