The second round of applications closes Feb 5, 2017. There will be two additional rounds in March and April, and you may apply as a venture team in any round to receive feedback.
About the iVenture Accelerator: The iVenture Accelerator supports student entrepreneurs with knowledge, funding, and access to world-class University of Illinois resources and alumni.
*Each team receives up to $10,000 in funding for early-stage startup costs and a $2,500 stipend per founder to cover summer living costs.
*Each team gains access to world-class advisors and coaches sourced through our iVenture networks of hundreds of alumni and friends.
*iVenture fellows go through a rigorous 10-week curriculum designed to help them build their own entrepreneurial skills, solidify their venture's product-market fit, scale their impact, and raise funding. Fellows continue to receive support and accountability in a three-credit hour course through the Fall and Spring semesters.
*Teams gain exclusive access to space, peer-learning, and networking opportunities in co-working spaces in Research Park and the Grainger Library.
The 2017-2018 cohort is iVenture's third yearlong cohort. Thus far, iVenture has accelerated the work of student founders from 8 colleges of the University working on 25 ventures in diverse areas such as agricultural technology, nonprofits, medical devices, rural healthcare IT, and defense tech. iVenture teams have raised $1mil+ in follow-on funding, have grown their teams to 150+ members, bringing on customers, scaling their technologies globally, and gaining national media attention for their work.
