Learn about Ikenobo Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging, on September 30 from 1-2:30 from Kimiko Gunji, former CHP professor and director of Japan House at the University of Illinois, in Robeson Pavilion Room C of the Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green Street. Gunji will present “The Life Cycle of Flowers and Humans,” demonstrating how the many stages of our lives are reflected in flowers. Gunji, who has achieved the master level of both flower arranging and tea ceremony, received the Order of the Rising Sun from the government of Japan in 2012.
